I was doing 95 in the middle lane and a mini convoy of 2 black MR2 turbos and 1 white Nissan GTiR eased past... all without number plates. No trade plates, nothing. and the cars didn't look new if that's of any consequence.

 

Probably just been nicked from Southampton docks!

 

..my suspicious mind would have had me phoning plod.. coulda been armed robbery or they'd just been nicked..

..or I'd have given chase, flagged 'em down and offered to buy one cheap

 

Doing over 95...hmmmm, maybe they all fell off

I see lots of Jap cars going up the A34 North - mostly on trailers but often driven - they dont have plates either -theyve just come from southampton docks

 

Erm - you're actually allowed to drive from the docks home in your unregistered car - so the chances are they were just newly imported cars
