No. It's a fast sub £20k turbo'd 4wd car.

Thumbs up

Just a victim of its own success IMO! Performance wise there are very few cars that could keep up with my scooby (its nowt special by the way) it just that I don't see many cars a day that could beat it. Not bad for £12k and still reliable, spacious, comfortable and not too old

New ones yes!

Compared to an FRS or Evo they don't look good value

Second hand they make excellent purchases IMHO, though the quality is suspect!

It deserves it's reputation as a performance car. You won't get better performance with 4/5 door practicality in that class of car.

However, take away the performance and the rest of the car sucks.

If you're not bothered about the practical side of the car there are plenty of better performance cars out there.

Cool

As a newcomer to Subaru ownership (from Vectra and most recently a Golf 4Motion) then no I don't think they are over rated - I'm well pleased.

You have a top car that handles really well and there are plenty of aftermarket goodies to make it even better or more individual. You have a great network of people on this BB and others plus you get loads of looks and waves driving around in the motor.

It only compounds my thoughts that Golf ownership was very, very dull. They may make sturdy and solid cars but they are a tad dull to drive...IMHO anyway.

It's almost impossible to find something that's all things to all people.

Yes, there are more practical cars, yes there are faster cars, yes there are cars that handle better and yes, there are prettier cars.

Now show me a car that can do ALL if the above, and not cost a fortune...

It probably has 6 stars on the front badge (or one of those 3 pointed red things )
