Impreza 03MY
Here's my thoughts then
To be price competitive with the likes of the RS, Subaru would have to drop the WRX price by a few thousand. Now that might well result in a lot more sales and so more profit in the long-run.
But in my memory I can't remember a performance or prestige brand dropping prices suddenly and by so much in a short time, especially not on a new model. I suspect what they tend to do is introduce the car at a similar list price but then offer more margin to the dealers so they can do a better deal.
Subaru has never struck me as an agressive sales type company
