I've just put on a down pipe on my93 wrx. Taking the cat off there is a sensor in it, it looks like a heat sensor, do I remove this sensor or weld a nut to the new downpipe to screw it onto. I think it's there to stop the cat from over heating?
At the moment I've just clamped it to the exhaust.
oh it's not a lambda sensor!
Thanks Clint.

You don't need this sensor, its a cat heat thing. Trace back up the braided hose and you'll find a plug that it can be split from.
