Cool

so... i want to get my car set up on a rolling road, mainly to check that my fuelling curve etc is the best it can be (think its a bit lean), and am considering getting a bigger fuel pump from somebody like mark at lateral performance. not knowing whether this will necessitate an ecu remap or not ive just looked at my ecu which i was told at point of sale was a non standard item (dont care if its not, just want to sort the fuelling out etc) and it says PRO-Va on it, and is sort of gold in colour... does this sound familiar to anyone? is it just the standard one? is it programmeable? do i need the ecu to be programmable to be able to get my car set up for the best on a rolling road (my local is clive athowe in norwich)? what does an uprated fuel pump require in terms of changes? anyone know what to do?

sorry for the huge list of qus, if anyone can offer any advice ill happily donate all the purple sweets that i dont like from the xmas jar of quality street.

ok, i have manged to translate the page (a giant leap for mattkind) but predictably, i can learn nothing from it, other than its an ecu that is 'super super' and 'allows high end of the driving in full bottom'. which to be honest with you, i suspected all along.

somebody please tell me wot i need to do to get this checked out for re-programmeability and indeed whether i need bother to up the fuelling or add a bigger pump or whatever...

I have one of these Pro-Va Ecu's too.

I have put on a AFR and upped my boost with Dawes MBC to 1.3bar and it is still rich. I have a Dawes AFR and always shows Blue at WOT.
I am gonna buy a Knock Link in a few weeks to see if it is Detting at all.

When I first got my car two years ago I thought my boost was high at 1.1 Bar..!

I am also thinking of putting my car on th RR to see what the Curves are.

Thanks
Scott

Talking

Scott T may know more as I think he is using this map as the base for his ECU board upgrade.

I don't think you'll need a re-map for a fuel pump upgrade
But it may be worth Rolling roading the car to check everything out before you start playing with it!!!

im running a dawes too, but with a full decatted 4" exhaust (i know, i know, it came fitted like that) and since ive put on the blitz air filter it seems to be running leaner, so i wanted to get it checked. my afr mostly shows blue, but now ive got the blitz its green more often and occasionally touching on yellow, so i want to get it checked. im only running 1 bar, but would like to run more. however, above this level the clutch starts to slip, and though ive got a new one to go on, im short of the squillion quid it costs to get fitted wot with it being xmas and all. so for now im stuck at 1 bar, but would like that to be as fast and safe as possible. im pleased to know that yours is allowing you to run such mega boost, i look forward to doing that myself. so, should i just get the car put on the rollers to check all is well? and if it turns out to be lean, can they do anything about it whilst im there (short of dialling back down the dawes or getting rid of the blitz filter)?

what MY is yours?

done. as long as theyre not the orange creams that are in that disgusting black 'milk' chocolate that tastes like eating the residue from the bottom of instant choc machine cups. if so, use them to throw at the coppers who seem to follow me and anyone else with a good car all day long.

any offers on the green triangles? can be used as roadside warning triangles for colour-blind midgets.
