Read all the posts I can find on g'box oils but one question I can't find answer to:

The gearbox dipstick - two level holes on it - presumably one low and one high - the thing is on my car when stone cold the oil only just reaches the bottom of the dipstick - when hot it's just above the top hole on the dipstick...

Is this right?

Shoulf the oil level be set hot or cold??
