The car was mapped by PE. The boost is near standard. Can I use dawes (i think not) or bleed (i think yes) to rise the boost about 0,2 bar? I think first (for ECU) is boost level and air and then ECU looks for fuel and igniton in the 3D table... Is usual if tuners maps car for boost from ,9 to 1,1 (optimum), they create maps for higher levels of boost too?

0.2!! I could fart harder than that

I've got a TEK3 remap and use a dawes to control the boost - set at 1.25 bar.

Im affraid that PE remaps turbo (turbo is driven by ECU) for smoothest spool up or ??? but dawes is only on/off valve. I think there is possibility to downgrade well custom maped car if i will use dawes. I want 1,3 -1,35 boost pressure........

Theoretically, you can still use the boost solenoid in conjunction with a bleed valve. Connect it in between the solenoid and actuator. But beware..

My understanding is that the Dawes is a spring-loaded device, so (and I'm no expert) I would imagine that it doesn't just bang on or off, but can slowly open or close against the pressure of the spring.

Why didn't the PE remap just increase the boost for you Like any of the Teks, that would have increased the boost and given a smooth delivery.

I need more boost. If 0,1 bar = 10% of power, then I need it :-)

why bother?

I assume you have a ecutek tather than a phase 1?

if so, why not go back to pe and ask if they wont mind tweaking it for you.

It would be a far safer way to do it. You hav epaid the money to have the boost control mapped "properly" why jump back a few steps with a bleed valve after you have already swallowed the expensive bill?

Maybe the Apexi EBC will be solution: I want two boost levels: safe 0,6- 0,7 bar - for my wife and 1,4 bar for me

As your is a STi3, it will not be a Ecutek based map. Most likely a PE phase1 with a piggy back board or a add-on rom.

Best bet would be to phone/email PE and ask them. If they remember the car they could tell you what it was mapped for exactly and give you advice on what you are trying to achieve.

On earlier cars with a 3 port solenoid it makes sense to remap the ECU again.

On cars with 2 port solenoids the boost control is smooth but poor. Hence a change to a 3 port gives best results but is not cheap. A Dawes is adjustable for further mods, but far more on-off even with bleed holes and the like. Horses for courses really. I like my 3 port but was lucky to get it for the same price as a Dawes from a breakers
