Thumbs up

Can an ecu from a my98 car be used on another
car ?
I have a genuine prodrive/sti ecu surplus to requirements and would like to help someone else get a bit extra from their car.Is it a case of just swapping the ecu over or is there more to it ?
If they just swap over and anyone is interested then email me with a sensible
offer......Gary

Definitely can NOT be used on the 99 or newer but not sure about the earlier versions.

I have a MY98 turbo and would be interested in a little more power. Is there a considerable difference, and if so, what do you call a sensible offer for the ecu?

It is generally agreed that 98 was not a good 'vintage' for Prodrive performance packs - thus the benefits of fitting this ecu will be negligible - though there would be some improvement in the spread of torque (if not maximum) accross the rev range.

a good exhaust system and improved air filter will see more of a difference.

nice coffee table/desk ornament though!
