Driving games for PC?
Grand Prix Legends - Absolutely the best driving game available for the PC. You need a steering wheel/pedals setup, and a lot of time to learn how to drive these cars (based on the '67 F1 season).
You can also race online. Pick the game up for £5 on the sold-out range.
If you prefer the more arcadey style game then something like gta3 is a blast - I'm playing through it at the moment.

Cant believe no-one has said GP4, or is that a bid difficult to master for the Scooby lot? And yes, Grand Prox Legends, the most realistic driving game on a PC (or any format) ever. You can even get a Direct 3D patch to make it work with Gforces etc.

Hahahaha, what, couldnt you get GP4 to run on your machine? That's the only reason I can think of, as anyone in their right mind would choose GP4, unless that is you like winning every race because 2001's granny of an AI is so completely lame. Yes its not bad for a console type game. Do you play it with a joypad?

n if u like yank oval racing, nascar4 or nascar thunder are both awesome sims. Multiplayer is mindblowing, 40 odd cars (pc willing) thumping out V8 tunes around daytona

Get Grand Prix Legends for £4.99 from Sold Out Software.
I've played GPL for years on a crap PC (PII 233Mhz) and I cannot believe how excellent the graphics updates make the game look

Currently have the following driving games installed :-
need for speed hot pursuit 2 (very arcadey and fun legging it from the police)
rally trophy - quite amusing game with old volvo amazons etc
rally championship extreme - very good game, personally prefer it to macrae 2 (shock horror!)
gp4 - bored of it, its just gp3 extra gfx version.
gta3 - nowhere near as good as psx2 version
mafia - not really 100% driving but ive never had as much fun at 35mph
theres screenies of hot pursuit 2 here - http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=145532

GPL for tarmac, Rally Trophy for gravel/mud.
Biggest downside of GPL is the amount of time required to patch it correctly, add the updates to get the good graphics...and, last but not least
, learn to drive!
