Help editing an mp3!

Ive recorded an mp3 and its 87 mins long so to get it onto a cd i need to loose 8 minutes. Does anyone know of a program for editing mp3s? Ive used an mp3 cutter in the past, which would work if i chopped it into enough bits but want to keep it as 1 big mp3

Normally I use Sound Forge to do MP3 editing. Not quite sure what you want. If you want to cut a bit off of the end then MP3 Slicer will do it. Or MP3Trim, which I prefer. MP3Trim will fade the end of the track out too.
