Bloody thing just keeps freezing and i have to hard reset

Anyone know what might be casuing this or if there is a patch for it?? Can't find anything on MS as usual

 

I think Windows ME is the problem, I know a few people who have had obscure problems with it - and most have resorted to XP to fix them in the end,

Was running 2k for quite a while but ended up needing rebuilt which i did last week... I put 98 on to start with but that really screwed up so went for ME.

PC is pretty old (AMD K6-2 450, 64M) so could go for 2k again but rather not have to rebuild again just now...

 

Best suggestion ofgf the top of my head would be to make sure all the drivers are up to date, and one thing I got to work really well was updating the motherboard's bios
