Question

Will it fit? Quite simply, will one fit.

Or at the very least, would the back box go on...?

Cheers

the back box should fit, i fitted a ss back box to my sti7 which had been on my my97 and p1, the centre hanger on the back box wont line up but it will bolt on and the two rear hangers fit, it sits ok as well

Cheers Mark

or is it Dave, if you sent me the piccy of the Luverly STi7 with the Scoobysport Exhaust on. Very nice mate...

Still running ideas around in my head at the minute. I have the PPP on order, but expecting that until Xmas / New Year. Want to put an HKS or Blitz back box on now just to improve the sound and maybe free up the breathing a little.

When the PPP comes, I will probably go with the Prodrive back box initially to see how I like the sound. Then maybe switch back...

I had the HKS Super Drager on my MY00 and loved it, and would like to get that sort of system back on the STi (Jap Manufacturer etc...) but want to know whether the back box section will bolt onto the PPP'd zorst sections really....

What a dilema hey!!!

I know one thing though... I gotta get this standard back box off....

Cheers

Simon

Depends if you like loud or quiet. Put it this way, I had a Firestorm delivered yesterday

The main issue with putting the rear section on an STi7 is that the diff casing is about 15mm wider than a MY01> WRX, and the mounts are in a slightly different place to a MY00<. Re diff clearance, it shouldn't be a problem if it came off an STi6 as that has a wider diff casing anyway, but you probably won't know if the mounts will line up until you try it.

All four sections of the PPP exhaust are directly interchangeable with the OEM bits (the rear centre retains the OEM part anyway of course).

hi simon
its mark, my first name is david, all my emails come with that instead, ive done the same, ppp is due jan/feb, i sold the ss downpipe and mid, thought id have a go to see if the back box would fit , needed some noise until the ppp arrived, far better than spending out on another back box and mid, it is close to the rear diff but hasnt touched it, it will do until the ppp is fitted then i will sell it
