The Subaru recommended oil change interval for the STi7 Type UK is 10,000 miles. I know of one or two STi7 owners who have had their oil change done at 5000 miles. Assuming that the car is not taken on the track is 10,000 miles between oil changes too far for a modern turbocharged car using high quality synthetic oil?

What are your opinions and please give reasons.

Alan

Probably not......... but I change mine about every 3 thousand anyway, for the sake of a trip to the dealers and about 80quid I feel its worth it.

Hello again Alan,

Done my change at 6000, not 5000 because of the 1000 service.

Regular changes only benefit either those that intend to keep the car long term or those that buy a car from somebody else that did them frequently

It still cost me £65 in total for my local garage to change the oil, but I do intend to keep this car for 4 years
