Question

My car is MY00 with current mod TEK3 ECU remap from John Banks, VF29, Magnex downpipe, PPP centre and backbox, PE exhaust manifold, Walbro 255HP fuel pump. I run 17 psi boost pressure until 6000rpm where it drops to 16psi to the red line. My car "drives" nicely after 3050-3100rpm where it has 14psi boost with 17 psi at 3500rpm, although I have lost some torque below this point due to the above mod.
My question is:
If I take off the PE manifold and replace it with the original ported + aftermarket up pipe and change the OEM TMIC with a bigger say MRT or AVO top mounted + IC splitter should I take some more torque low down with the same boost targets?
Also should be the car safer considering our very hot weather here in Greece which I prefer it in every case? And yes I know I'll lose some power through the rev range!

Well, here's one reply but only on one question - my guess would be that the oem manifold would give you more torque lower down. But manifolds appear to be a bit of a 'black art' & there's no real guarantee... but I'd have thought changing the manifold would make a mess of the map that you have now? They can change the VE quite considerably, which obviously would effect the required fueling!
