Why does a simple trip to the local DIY shop that is meant to be a 5 mile round trip taking 30 mins end up being 20 miles and a pitstop for more fuel. The other half is bemused every time I pop out for a minute !!!

Went out to dinner at Beachy Head a few nights ago. Should be around a 10 minute 4 mile drive. 30 Miles and about 40 minutes later we arrived

Now that it's arrived, you need to start eating further afield.

I recommend the Blacksmith's Arms at Offham.

Excellent food, interesting roads.

Only problem is the small car park and age of other customers (who seem unable to control their doors when they open them).
