I think I have a problem on the head lamp level adjuster **** (down by the handbrake on my UK MY97) Can anyone tell me if the ****/position marker lights up when the lights are on? I know the numbers do (mine still do) but I cannot remember whether the line on the top of the **** to show where it's pointing should be lit as well. Mine isn't at the moment but I want to confirm that it should be, before I go in for open switch surgery to sort it out

Thanks in advance.

IMHO there is only one light bulb in the switch so if the numbers are lit, then it is working and you don't need to do surgery on it.

Can you look at yours to see if the line lights up as well as the numbers?

051, you really are getting obsessive over that car now!!! You’ve had it nearly 4 years, surely you can remember, or are you just getting old :-p

It's just the numbers even on MY02.

I can't believe how fanatic about your cars you guys are. Do things like illuminated switch ***** really matter so much ?

Jah - not really, its just that mine is getting on a bit and I tend to leave the lights on all the time (what with it being a black one and all) and a couple of other switch bulbs have gone recently (Hazards and rear screen demist) so I just wondered if this was another one gone too. To be honest, as I didn't know myself it probably meant it wasn't worth bothering with but it does look like it should be lit.

Thanks all for the help.
