Question

i'm driving from the M74 to Hunterston (just below Glasgow on the west coast)and wondered if anyone here could recommend some decent roads without taking me too far from the beat and track. i would usually use the A71 and A78 which are OK in a hire car, but i'm in the scoob this time!

Thanks in advance,

Jon

Depends where you want to go really, if you want a day trip up to Inverness, the A82 has a bit of everything, can be a sod if you get stuck behind a couple of caravans though, from there you can take good roads north or west.
Without more info on what part of the country you want to be in it is difficult to say really.
