Any scoobies with variable delay intermittent wipers?

This seems to be a common feature on most cars these days, where you can change the delay of the intermittent wipe from a few secs to about 20 secs to suit the amount of rain. Sounds like a load of crap but actually really useful when you're used to a car with it fitted.

Just wondering if there were any classic Imprezas with this fitted from the factory so I can adapt the parts to mine (most likely wiper stalk would be different). I can add this feature regardless but would rather use OE parts so it doesn't look aftermarket.

OK so I'm gonna do a bit of research into retro-fitting this using the OE parts to see if it's possible, if not I can do the same job with custom components but it won't look quite as neat.

Was variable intermittent front on my MY00, but rather inconveniently not the rear (wagon obviously!)
