Ive a MY95 WRX import, i need a new turbo (ouch), can anybody recommend somewhere and how much am i looking at? Is a £1000 + close to the mark?

 

I got a 2nd hand TD05 turbo for £100 and fitted it last week.

If you want to remove the turbo fitted to your car and send to Universal Turbo's They'd charge you around £400 to repair & re-conditon the existing turbo or around the £600-£650 mark to replace the full cartridge and re-condition the existing unit. Speak to Graham, he was very informative & helpful when I called for advise.

Seems a little pricey,

I had a price from Turbo Dynamics to rebuild a turbo for about £200 which was new bearings and seals throughout and rebalance. If you're compressor wheel has gone that that's a new shaft and compressor wheel, so maybe cheaper for new cartridge.
