So you want a non MAF based solution, but don't like the Link for some reason (why? dunno).

SO get an ecu from a 99 2.5 NA engine which uses MAP only (which I found hard to beleive to start with, but it does) and remap it to suit. I wouldn't mind betting that delta ECU can be adapted suit.

Other than that I would assume the fuel and ign maps could be expanded to suit a 3bar map sensor although that may result in a map resolution issue ?

trouble is, my other apexi controls the fuel, and reads from the maf

Even though this ECU may be speed / density, I can't imagine what it would do when faced with above atmospheric manifold pressures.

I'm not sure it matters.

When I say remap, I mean being able to do things like rescale the MAP sensor. According to the cobb website, it uses AFR target still but with an additional VE map, I doubt this somewhat, as it involves much pointless calculation for the ECU compared to just using injector pulse width.

I don't think anything will come of it, but I would be interested to try. As with all these things, though, might as well get a Link, Gems, Autronic, Motec, Pectel etc.

Why not fitting a proper MAF and remap the ECU accordingly?

I am looking for details from the Hitachi MAF, Audi is using at the moment on their 180 BHP V6 TDi as replacement for the CR@PPY Bosch item.

Yes, this is an option I have looked at, I posted a link to a US company that makes and tests their own MAF sensors, but putting a hot wire MAF into their own machined aluminium body, including one with 210mm inside diameter.
