Gentlemen

Now that a lot of us have fitted the PPP. I was wondering if any of you had made a note of what peak boost is and what held boost is.

I see from the dino page that held boost is likely to be 16 psi. Is that common to everyone?

Also what fuel are you using? I know that you are meant to use 97RON but I am sure that not everyone is?

I am thinking of fitting the PPP next month and just want to set my mind at rest re: expected power increases againstnew boost pressure. Currently my car peaks at 14 psi and holds 13.5.

I run on 97 anyway - it pays for itself in economy improvement and fun! You can put 95 in the PPP and it will be safe but slower and adapt again when you put 97 in. Don't know about the increase in boost - I think someone said about 2-3psi more than standard which fits in with the dyno page. However, there seeems to be more to it than that as it runs more advance - is generally a better map and more flexible. I like the figures on the page, but the real test is driving it - vastly quicker. Mail me offline if you want to come and have a ride and I think you will be convinced.
