Help! No dash light!

Hi all,
The dashboard backlight (on my 92 Legacy turbo) has suddenly stopped working?!
I've had a look at the fuses and these seem to be OK.
Next step is to check the bulb/bulbs but I haven't a clue how to do this.
Is it an quick/easy job (I'll be lucky!), how do you do it?
