Question

Hi guys,

Just as it says above. I know the old UK and EU models have a convenient place on the manifold for it, but I don't see anything on the new STi-7 JDMs ?

Cheers,
Ray

Hi,

This is where I've taken mine from. This is on a WRX, but I expect the STi is the same.

I connected the boost gauge to a hose coming off the inlet manifold. Can anyone comment on the rights or wrongs of this?

Question

Just to be 100% clear is it the red hose in the picture ?

Cool

The red hose goes off to the boost gauge. The original hose from the inlet port that I tee-ed into goes somewhere else (I was told the name, but forgot and so will not guess at the risk of looking stupid!)

Steve

Edited for krap spelling

Big thanks !

I will copy you and "T" into the same place you did. If you are getting accurate readings then I assume it must be ok

Cheers,
Ray

hmmm, just took a look and that hose is too thick for my "T" piece and the tubing that came with my boost guage.

There is another piece of tube coming off the left side of the manifold (if facing the engine) ....can I "T" into that ?

Cheers,
Ray

Ray, your car probably has a blanking plug in the hole that has a pipe in the above photo. I unscrewed it and screwed a connector into it which carries the turbo gauge pipe.
