Got flashed by a Gatso this morning in the 50 zone on the A41 coming out of London. Thing is, I knew the camera was there and had slowed down to the usual 54-55ish in the slow lane, which doesn't trigger the thing. Unfortunately some **** in a space wagon thing zoomed up alongside me and triggered it. He must have been doing 60-ish.

How specific are these things? Do you expect I will get done as well, as I was caught doing over 50 too? Or do the cameras only take shots of one lane at a time?

Otherwise I have a week or so's anxious wait. ..... ****

They will use the calibration lines on the road to work out the speed. The two photos will show the other car moving a lot faster than you, and so they will concentrate on them. The ACPO (Police) guidelines are 10%+2mph which at 50 means the point at which they will do you is 57 Mph.

Also your speedo will probably under read, so your real speed was likely to be 52 rather than 54. I would be surprised if you're done

Agree with Neil. This has happened to me several times where I have been doing 4-5mph over the limit when someone faster caused the Gatso to go off.

I've never been done for any of them and they have all been on 40 or 50mph limits.....
