big bore 2.0 engine
Noticed this on i-club, is it possible ??
Wet liners of 99.5mm bore into an early EJ20 closed deck block ?
Anyone tried it ? Seems to be plenty support material top and bottom where it's required ?
It would yield just under 2400 cc with the standard stroke crank

Trout,
"Wet liners" mean that the bore is taken out to such an extent, that they are actually in direct contact with the cooling water, and do away with the ally normally used to support the bore liner.
Personally, I wouldn't go that route.
Next, I'm not certain how you can get 2.4lt, with 99.5mm bores, and a 75mm stroke, unless I'm using the wrong equation.
Pi X r sq'd X Stroke X 4 ?
3.14 X (49.75 x 49.75) X 75 X 4 = 2331cc.
Mark.
