Depends on the OD - 99.5 would give an OD of 105.5 as a minimum - which would only leave about 2mm wall thickness in the block.

Sounds too big to me.

"Wet liners" mean that the bore is taken out to such an extent, that they are actually in direct contact with the cooling water, and do away with the ally normally used to support the bore liner.

Personally, I wouldn't go that route.

Next, I'm not certain how you can get 2.4lt, with 99.5mm bores, and a 75mm stroke, unless I'm using the wrong equation.

Pi X r sq'd X Stroke X 4 ?

3.14 X (49.75 x 49.75) X 75 X 4 = 2331cc.

agree with mark on the equation, so 2.3ltr really.

as far as the liners not being supported by alloy....think a closed deck should be used if you do go that route.

 

Remember guys the Yanks measure things differently.

I mean based on their BHP figures a 99.5mm bore ID should give about 4 litres
