Sorry for the noddy question, but I've been spoilt by having company cars, and the Scoob is my 1st 'proper' car I've owned (cr@ppy first cars notwithstanding)

My car is now just over 1.5 yrs old with 30k on the clock, Parkers tell me it's worth around £16k now. How does depreciation work now in the next year or so? Does it stabilise or continue to dive off?

Is there a magic age/mileage to look at selling a car?

Is it worth selling it while there is still some warranty left?

Any views appreciated!

I have exactly the same worries and mileage!
I think it must be best to sell in warranty but we can extend the warranty via the dealer.

The biggest worry I have is finding a flood of used Imprezas on the market when I come to sell mine.

Sold my MY00 to my dealer for cash. 11 months old 10,000 on the clock and got £16,000. I did say what about all the extras I have. He told me they were not worth a carrot and to take them off. He said £16,000 with or without the extras. I sold most the extras making another few grand. The car still went in with P1 wheels and new tyres which I could not sale, and a high Prodrive spoiler which someone let me down with at the last min. The day or two before the car went in I was trying to get rid of spoiler and wheels at any price yes even £50 I would have took.
I then decide to buy a P1 did not have the nerve to ask dealer for more money as I was now doing Part X.
