We, the mods are discussing this at the moment.

The Muppets were originally for the mine vs yours style threads that some people like, and most hate. However it soon developed as a place where anything that was a little shall we say weird went.

The muppets soon developed a sub culture all of their own and in addition to all the above it became a place to put all the sillyness and let of steam style threads that used to propogate across other forums.

Nowadays if we sling Mine vs yours threads in there, we get complaints from the muppets that we're polluting their 'hutch' and if we leave them where they are then people say it should be muppetised and that they pollute scoobynet.

Although non scooby is for non scooby stuff, jokes/stupitidy etc are also seen as muppet fodder by a lot of people.

Some of the options being discussed are a 'sin bin' forum where mine vs yours style threads can be thrown into. This would leave the muppet forum for the jokes and general sillyness it seems to thrive on.

Its a tricky call either way. My personal opinion is for the sinbin forum as it leaves no ambiguity as to where threads like the BMW one should go.

I am receptive to stimulating postings that give good topics for discussion. When I feel like messing about I go to the Muppets hutch.

Damaja seems to think that his opinion is all that matters and this is reflected in his replies. I am happy to discuss all topics both to give an opinion and to see if I can learn something.

Lets not forget the origin of this thread. Damaja was unhappy about having his thread moved yet the posting of "his picture" was irrelevent to all of the threads that he forced it onto.

If this upsets him so much than I suggest that he starts using the BB in the correct fashion.

I would muppetise it, but I can't as its not in a forum I moderate.

 

Neil, what are the criteria?

I mean, why was the Sierra Cosworth thread and a previous one about BMWs moved to Muppet Forum? That is SUCH the wrong place for them, you guys must know that, surely??

Keep Muppetland for what it is, leave threads that have become "mine's quicker/better than yours" where they are - they all die a natural death in the end, and we won't feel like we're being over-moderated.

After all, it was the now-infamous P1-WR who created Muppetland, but his threads were never mine's this or that, he was just a berk!

Every now and then it's entertaining to read one of these ego-threads, so a place where they're all together could be quite interesting! Cheers,

I mean come on, my post was about how angry zoo's make me and I posted that pic I took on sat to sum up my experience and yet "how do I make Thai soup" is still here!!!!

2. If you wanted to make a point about zoos then why include a photo of a lion complete with 'help me' title and ROOAAR in the thread title?

Why not say that zoos make you mad and that the animals should'nt be cooped up?

Actually I mostly agree with you. I went to Kenya a few years back and even going to Safari parks made me sad as even the Safari parks did'nt really give the animals enough space to be themselves.

 

Lions go Roar and from the look on the lions face it is not exactly saying "WOOOOOOO YEAAAAAAAH I LOVE IT HERE"
