I assume it can.....But !!!
this is how i see it,

outlay £80 for standard 800/801/802 ECU
have mapped for £500
This price for mapping I have come up with is the approx price of a tek 2 (3) ecu, where you send off standard ecu and get back mapped one (or in case of tek 3 have it mapped to suit mods).

Sell PPP ECU for £600 (going figure or so I was told)

Break even

someone one will probably be along tomorrow (as any sensible person would be in bed by now) to rip my post apart and tell me I'm talking out of my ****

I think the Tek 3 is nearer £600, ....well your still only £100 out of pocket.

Sell it to pay for your remap. But it can be done if you insist.

I have the following mods:

HKS Hyper
PPP

Mods to follow:
SS D/P
D/V
K&N Induction Kit
Possible increase in boost.

Is it worth having a re-map with the above mods.

When I took my car (my99) to the rr when it just had a ppp and a 3" full de cat exaust the bloke said that it was a lot leaner than the std cars (which are very rich) so prodrive must have adjusted (leaned off)the mixture with their ecu. So I would not recomend fitting a K&N filter kit (which will make it run even leaner) with out putting it on a set of rollers afterwards to check you are getting enough fuel through out the rev range.
hope this helps,
Mike

The big lean spot with induction kits is during spool up where you will probably lose torque. I had a K&N with decat PPP and it was fine regarding det/full load fuelling. If you increase the boost with an MBC/EBC your fuel cut with PPP is 19.6 PSI and it would probably work quite well at up to 18 PSI - but get it all checked out with diagnostics gear. Realistically at this level I don't think the induction kit is worth the hassle but that is just my opinion. I am only fitting one as my airbox seems to be restrictive in particular at high airflows and I am fitting a FMIC.

I ran my PPP'ed my00 at 18.4psi with Dawes/vf23/manifold....you name it really

Coped pretty well....but, big 'but', I was monitoring AFR and knock 100% of the time.

It *is* a compromise doing it like this - driveability off boost and during spool up suffers big time (above combo created a big fat fuel hole between 2k4 and 2k8).

As mentioned, buy yourself a 2nd hand 99/00 ecu and get it remapped via EcuTek technology. Then sell the PPP to offset your costs. Flashing a PPP would be a shame somehow
