Question

Posted in "Interior" but need to gauge opinions b4 tomorrow so posted here.....

Got my car going in for a service on Weds. Its an MY99 Uk Turbo, its done 36500 miles (reg'd April 99).
Thing is, the drivers seat is sort of "bobbley" and looks sort of "furry" worn on the bottom corner and slightly on the bolster . I've seen other threads where others have had these probs and wondered if it was worth pointing it out at the service in the hope to get the covers replaced under warranty, or should I just accept it since the cars done 36k???

Cheers
Neil.

Hello mate!

Yep you are right - there have been a few threads (no pun intended)about this. Most common problem is the foam criss-cross pattern showing through on the seat base although there have been a few about the seats wearing prematurely. the materal although looks good does not seem to wear well, not in the same way as the usual interior type materials.

Generally the dealers are not to keen on seat type issues as it can be difficult to prove the cause. I found that pestering my dealership worked for me in this case.

Good luck.

All the best

Paul
