I expect this is proberbly a silly question, but I have just had a full scoobysport de-cat exhaust fitted including the up pipe.

The car drives much better but when decelerating it bangs and pops a bit.
Is this normal? I expect it is just un burnt fuel, if so am I running to rich?

I have a 95 wtx with a fully decatted akimoto racing exhaust it pops when coming down from high revs, I think its sounds brilliant

Get anti-lag fitted then it will pop and bang

 

I too have a full decat an my MY00 an it doesn't pop or bang at all why!!!!!!! help.

 

jake it should do when coming down from high revs, although not always.

 

The Blitz NUR Spec pops and bangs even when coming down from low revs

 

Mine will have the full scoobysport fitted to my P1 at the weekend and i think it might be too noisy but i have a brand new scorpion backbox so if so i will put that on as they are not as noisy.

 

When its hot, mine will pop loudly away to itself coming down the revs and if really hot I get flames on up and down shifts
