judder on change down

Can anybody help I Need some advice, just bought a my96 sti and having a problem:

When i change down from 3rd to 2nd at 20-30mph, when you engage the cluch the car judders not sure if this is beacuse i'm letting out the cluch to slowly. This doesn't happen in any other gear or when you change up through the box, any idears?

The car is fitted with a paddle cluch

If its fitted with a paddle clutch, these are designed to not slip at all.

You need to learn to "heel and toe" on down shifts, to give a smooth change.

Pete,

Yes!, it has been fitted with a padle clutch, what's heal & toe? why does this not happen in any other gear when changing down?
