Yep, the drivers door on my 97 has dropped. It still closes ok, but with a slightly harder push.

I hadn't considered getting it looked at, but i'd be keen to know how easy it is to fix, as i would if it's quick and safe to do...

Has anybody experienced door drop on their motor?
I've an MY98, and the drivers door appears to have dropped somewhat.Being only nearly 3 years old and 24K miles on the clock, it seem rather unusual.

I've not heard of this before on an Impreza.Has anyone else??

The car is in for 30K service and a new clutch this weekend, so hopefully I can get it sorted then.

I had mine sorted by Lancaster Pangbourne yesterday actually - MY00, 15000 miles. I think it's quite a common problem, no charge for the adjustment, AND it's a Dutch import!

My 38500mls 98MY drivers door has dropped as well. Asked the dealer to look at it last year but they didn't do anything with it and I never folowed it up. Just have to give it a firm push to shut it.

I must say, I'm quite surprised that there are a few others with this 'characteristic'

It's really annoying me, the way the door 'clunks' every time it's opened, so I just hope the dealer sorts it when the car goes in on Saturday.
