New car with me soon... but swapping out the head unit, what is the special connector I need to take a JDM car set up to then work with a UK head unit, I know it's not a direct swap over.


can someone show me a picture or link to what I'd need to fit a UK double DIN head unit.. not sure what to go for but want android auto.. WITHOUT a usb connected up, I think they have Bluetooth for it now?

To answer your question it would depend on whether Subaru still use the "old style" 14 pin (as used on JDM Hatch) or the newer 20/24pin connectors for the Head Unit.

I've never heard of that brand of radio. iDoing, are they worth looking at?

I did see on Amazon a andriod system that look good for the money, I'd consider..

Looks as if the tS has an upgraded H/U similar to the later WRX

I thought you would want one compatible for Subarus that come with the correct facia ?? or how are you gonna fit it?

I thought it may be a new surround.. about £90 and fit a double DIN radio and use a converstion harness.

If the iDoing are a straight swap.. I'll check out those... are they all the same, or is one for a 2015 SJ Forester?

 

been in contact with iDoing customer services by email.. they say I need the KT2200 head unit.. I think due to mine having the 'silver' around the vents.

looks like they don't come with DAB, so you have to get the adaptor for DAB.
