Yes, I want my DRLs to function. The car is an '06 Impreza but the wiring is similar for a great number of models and years.

DRLs do not come on as they should but if I:
Turn the headlights on (low beamsm this doesn't happen with highs on) and set the parking brake (the order may not matter and I can't check this at the moment).
Turn off the headlights.

DRLs come on.

If I release the parking brake they go off. setting the brake does not bring them back on.

Any ideas?

 

Have you checked the DRL module for a loose plug

 

I've checked the relay. The relay and its connector are both mounted solidly to a bracket. Subaru made certain that connection is solid.

Thanks for your reply. I'm beginning to fear a problem with the body integrated unit.
