Default Fsti turbo recommendation please

As per title I'm having a few issues and I'm hoping it's not the turbo on my fsti ,it's going to the garage next week so I'll know for sure. if the worst comes to the worst what turbo can I replace the vf41 with as I can't seem to find one and I presume that as the turbo is 16 years old there are better ones on the market now, any advice as always would be appreciated.

Try the PCV valve. If it isn't that its worth changing if you haven't done so already. You could get your turbo rebuilt, theres a guy called Craig Bellworthy who does it.

Thanks for that .I'm just planning for the worst wasn't sure if getting turbo refurbished was with doing compared to buying a new one . hopefully it's something simple. Unfortunately my mechanical knowledge is terrible so waiting to get it looked over at the garage

Typical, I recently sold the standard turbo off my FSTI due to upgrading.

If I were to need a new turbo what did you go for I'm not after more power currently running 330 bhp , just want some thing reliable and readily available if I have to buy one.

I fitted a standard position GTX3076R but I'm running a forged 2.35 engine.
