i swear by the stuff, reduces under bonnet temps upto 70%, cost about 30-60 quid depended on width
the more heat you keep in the exhausts, the faster the gasses flow

Micky,
the heatsheild needs to be trimed wherer it fits around the exhaust flange, not a difficult job, if you're up to fitting the downpipe, then you'll be able to do this.
With regard to the lagging, I have had a bad experience with this, not on a scoob, but none the less a serious problem.

As you look at the rear of the heatshield, make a cut from the top of the arch, across to the right at an angle so that it goes just under the hole for the rear fixing bolt. When you get to the corner, go straight down to the bottom.
Its easiest with a small angle grinder and make sure you burr off any sharp edges.

The problem I had was on a tubular mini manifold, I lagged it, and then put it on the rollers, the manifold ended up totally f**ked, it was twisted out of all recognition, had to get a new manifold, and then put it back on the rolers, due to the fact that it had become so restrictive in the meantime.
