I was going to replace the cabin filter on my blobeye WRX but found a shiny square metal box blocking the flap that releases the filter. It looks fairly simple to remove but I just thought I'd ask if anyone knew what it was. In case it's air bag related or something!

It’s fine just unbolt it. I had to remove mine when I changed the filter.
