Can anyone compare a Supersprint exhaust with the Scoobysport exhaust (only backbox).
Here in Chile (Subaru“s are very popular here) the only good imported exhaust systems are the Italian Supersprint and very few HKS. Since nobody that I know has brought here a Scoobysport exhaust I would like to have some impressions between them, specially in terms of sound and looks. This, because the pictures that I have seen are not very good and I know the manufacture of the Scoobysport is hand made and the finishing apparently does not look perfect.

Supersprint was too uncultured for me - sounding very 'raspy' and it droned at motorway speeds. Mine was painted mild steel - don't know how long it would have lasted, got rid of it after 6 months.

Scoobysport much better sound wise (but normal is very loud! I went for the quiet one) and while build quality looks hand-made, it's built like a brick sh*t house Only downside on mine was having to modify the hangers a little to stop it clanging on rear ARB.

Scoobysport sounds like Ducati, that is the difference.
Supersprint is very good too, more rapsy but not so good in power gain. Ssport was designed with www.haywardandscott.co.uk. especially and only for Impreza GT.

How do you tell the difference between a "normal" and a "loud" SS backbox (having bought mine second hand)

Good question. Until now I have heard of only one type.

Me too, and i spoke to them just the other day. They don't mention it on their website or in the price list.

I doubt Pete sells many of the quiet ones I prefer the sound of the normal version, but my neighbours and the sleeping bods in the villages I accelerate out of at 6am each morning don't.....

Only way to tell the difference is to listen (3dB quieter & bit more restrictive), or look for the 'Q' black markered onto it They're made to order, so you'll have to wait a bit for it.
