Im looking for some advice...


I have 2003 impreza Wrx it has the standard Td04 which i think is on its way out, my goal would be to get to 300bhp or more if possible, its currently at 246bhp and i want to replace/upgrade for either a Td05 or Vf30/35 or whatever you think? hopefully with another remap and other upgrades i will get there???


Also whats the best air intake, panel/cone or cold air ram? im unsure whats best these days.

depends on budget,

Cheap option, second hand vf35, decat, fuel pump, panel filter and map.

Better result but more expensive

SC36, full decat, fuel pump, panel filter and map

 

uprated panel filter , and go with a suitable turbo , if you go too big turbo wise then injectors maybe an issue , plus wrx box is not as strong as the sti , then cat back sports exhaust and remap , why are you thinking turbo issues ? whats your bhp limit of current turbo

 

Vf35, highflow air filter , fuel pump, pink injectors + map will see 300 easily get a decat up pipe and downpipe will see you well over 300 probably closer to 330ish.
I've got a k&n cone filter on mine with RCM trumpet which works very well on my car

 

Standard air box and STi intercooler are good for 400 bhp.
