I have the opportunity to purchase a Scoobysport downpipe from a friend's 98 GTT. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is a straight fit onto a MY01?

Sadly the answer is no. The Euro MY01/MY02 downpipe is a different length to the "classic shape" due to the fitting of the 3rd cat to European cars.

On the Japanese spec cars it is the same as the "classic shape" as they don't have a 3rd cat. This means that if you buy a Japanese spec exhaust (HKS etc) it will fit with the old downpipe, but not the standard Euro one. strange old world isn't it!

WRX SEE : I can tell U that if you go with the DP + middle, it probably will be OK.

I have a Full Stainless Supersprint exhaust on my MY01.

It is the Impreza GT (pre01) model.
