Unhappy

Hi!

Has anybody experienced too fast idle sometimes. Instead of usual approx 700 rpm, the engine runs some 1700rpm. Feels like it's getting too much fuel - no motor braking for instance.

It couldb be related to high temperatures, couln't it?

Thanks for any comments! (MY 97 GT turbo btw)

Thanks for replys! I checked the cable and it's allright, but where is the position sensor located? Other thing: what are the symptoms of MAF sensor malfunctioning? I have a Bliz SUS conefilter.

Yes the TPS will cause this problem.

Another symptom is when you are going down a hill with your foot off the accelerator, the car will speed up and slow down by itself.

Sorry (Throttle Position Sensor)
