This has probably been done over and over but as search is down and I have looked for hours through the back log of threads, but cannot find anything about this.

I have a MY94 WRX and have recently taken off the power steeri8ng pump etc and drained it of its oil. Once I put it back on and filled it with the correct oil I am getting a Whining noise.

I have stopped all the leaking and filled it to the correct level but the noise comes back BUT only when it gets hot.

I thought that it must be a airlock so have overfilled the bottle and it has quietened down and thought that being overfilled that it would push out the airlock.

I have also turned it lock to lock with the cap off but nothing has changed......

Can anybody help me?????????
Is there a bleed valve anywhere??
Has anyone had the same prob? How did you overcome it?
