Default Noisy drive

Hi don't know if any one can advise , I have a 2001 bug eye jdm sti , it has coil overs updated arb and braces front and back plus one in the boot , the car is a bit graunchy going into gears , it has about 85 k miles on it some times synchro is not great but better when warm , g box fluid change has been done , but car has a fair bit of road noise , it has a metal under tray which I've soundproofed is noise normal with mods , and is gearbox normal for the age with the graunchy part thanks in advance for reply , every thing works the way it should at the mo lol

I put an extra 250 to 300 mils in the gearbox over the standard quantity which has made it smoother and less graunchy
