Question

Hi all your help please.

Whilst driving in Germany (honest) I noticed that over 100mph the car make a v strange noise. Sounds a bit like a large swarm of hornets or a propeller airplane and seems to come from front near side. And gets louder the quicker I go.

Same on concrete of tarmac road, no wheel shake and Yokohama tyres at 32psi all round.

Never had a car make this kind of noise before.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received.

Ian

Terzo 33

It could be the intake system as you`ll be using higher revs & so it`ll be sucking in more air & also the Turbo`ll be spinning faster. Thats just an idea as all that is on the drivers side.

We didn't find that on our little jaunt down the German Autobahn. Car ran fine for 700 miles all the way from Bonn to Vienna - a journey of about 8 hours including a few pit stops for petrol & lunch.
The only thing we did find was that on *some* road surfaces, the front of the car was under-damped and would bounce up and down quite noticably. Slow down 10mph and it would go away. (the suspension is modified).
Might have been all the luggage in the boot not helping...

cheers
Andy

Cool

I had my Terzo in Germany while I was working there.
No strange noises at all.
Give it a service, change/clean your filters and see what happens.
