Yes, wait for it, it's another ECU Reset (SORRY)
I know it's gets asked everyday, but I need some specific info.
Because I am; a) Impatient and b) Lazy, I am fed up of disconnecting my battery every time I want to reset the ECU
I have heard of these fabled green and black connectors but after taking the lower dash off, I was unable to locate them. I was wondering if the are inside the actual steering column plastic cowling (the bit around the height adjustable steering lever) rather than amongst all the wire behind the lower dash.
Can anyone give me some really detailed information as to where they are on a MY97 UK Turbo - pictures would be great
Nice one. Jamie

On my UK my 98 Turbo they are just under the steering column,
If you ge your head in the drivers foot well you should be able to see them without removing any of the trim.
sorry i cant take any pics (lent my digicam to a friend today)
Andy
PS they just look like all the other standard types of plugs you find in a Scooby but 1 is green and one black 2 terminal types

Cheers Andy.... but I still can't see them (grrrrr!).
Can someone with a MY97 (UK) Scoob please confirm that they are in the same position as Andy described.
From the steering wheel to the bulkhead it's about 18", how far down the column from the steering wheel will they be. There is a huge loom of wires taped up about 8" down, are they likely to be amongst these (possibly taped up during alarm install in the past???)
TTT,
Jamie

As a fellow MY97 owner I can confirm that they are there
Mine were taped up to. I seem to remember there were 2 of one colour though? although maybe that's my memory playing up
I'll try and find the web site I looked at when I did it. Either that or clamber upside down in the foot well and take a couple of photos.

Wahey, I think I've found them. Those connecters above WERE the black ones and the green ones (sort of 'double' connectors with one slot blank) were taped up higer up in the dash. It is the actual connectors that are green and black - not the wires, right?
Off for a blat and to top up with Optimax, then I'll try a reset

Right, I've taken the lower half of the dash off but I still can't find the critters!
The only male/female connectors I can see are these ones:

Can anyone point me in the right direction from either of these pictures?

Am I looking for the right thing? Four wires - two black and two green, each colour having one male and one female connector? Which direction do they come from - the steering wheel, the ECU, the fuse box?
Thanks a lot
Jamie
