I dismantled my Recirc cable this evening and come across a part that doesn't look so standard ? anyone spot the not so standard part ?










this is how the spring sat in the valve

I'm guessing that the nut the spring was sitting on shouldnt be in there ?

I took the valve apart to clean and I found the spring sat on the nut.. now I'm pretty sure the nut wouldn't be a standard part ? unless I'm wrong ?

The nut looks like it's from a hub. Perhaps it's fubar'd and been bodged to fit.

I know that you get different shims and springs but the nut must be the equivalent to at least an 8mm shim ? do I take it out and put a few shims in ? I guess that can be tested when my car goes back for mapping..
