Default Impreza turbo 2000: power increase - advice

hi guys, I'm a newbie! I have an Impreza turbo 2000 (1999MY) and basically I'm just looking for some advice on what to go for in regards to power increase e.g injectors, new turbo , Sti inter cooler and a remap. I believe my car is putting out around 210BHP standard, would be awesome to achieve 300bhp, so basically what's the most cost effective way to get the most out of my Scooby whilst keeping reliability in mind?

Also i will be changing the clutch to and uprated exedy stage one clutch kit (buying it tomorrow). This clutch can take up to 40% more power than the OEM equivilent.

Oh and one last thing, I'm after a new fly wheel if anyone's got one.

Cheers in advance guys

Awesome, cheers bud. Would I have to change my intercooler as well? And my standard injectors will hold out?

You'd probably need 550cc injectors to make the target power without stressing them out too much.

Engines are good for 300bhp (all depends on how strong the engine is though, not all engines are equal after 15 years) your biggest problem is the gearbox wont take as much as the engine can etc.

Ah right ok, how much BHP increase would I be likely to achieve if I were to only remap the car? (Sticking with the existing OEM set up but with an uprated clutch Fitted)

Standard TD04 turbo and 440's will get around 270-280bhp with a decat and remap. Fuel pump and FPR is nice too. But every car is different. The turbo runs out of puff much above this. Then the injectors max out a bit further up. But much towards 320+ and you will start getting the torque that will risk the box (which is the general opinion anyway). Of course you can blow a box at standard power too...

cheers for the Advice guys! Basically I was initially just changing the clutch on the car but now it's turned into a full on project! I've even started to prep the car for a full respray (which I'll be attempting myself!)! All the suspension is off and the brakes are off And I'll be upgrading them at the end of June! So yeah I don't have a massive budget but now I'm thinking about power increase.....so I think I might just give the engine a good service, get the timing done and see how much I can get out of it by just remapping it and changing the fuel pump for now...
