Track prep
I have a 2002 spec c. I was just wondering apart from the standard things (tyres, brakes etc) is there anything needed to take it on track. I was thinking of a bigger bonnet scoop to help the topmount or is it worth changing it to a fmic.
Thanks Chris
Thanks Chris
Hi Chris
I would fit a real good set of pads . Pagid are my brand of choice (AS performance sell different flavours)
Fit a set of 595 RSRs to begin with.
Take some spare fuel and keep the tank topped up.
And I would definately fit gauges. Or a toucan.
And monitor -
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Boost
EGT
AFR
And see how it goes. Do not change anything. See if any issues are thrown up and that will determine any changes you may or may not need to make.
Cheers
Steve

Jeremy Clarkson would say you need "POWAH!" .
On the serious note, not much, just some gauges to check everything stays the same, and be careful if you go on an open pit day, don't stay out too much, do 15-20 max (even that is a lot for a standard car) then come back and let the car cool down a bit, specially for brakes that is.
