Default Oil recommendation? ('08 STi)

Hi everyone,

Looks my my 2008 STi is going to need some more oil - I have had a look in the handbook and the recommendation seems to be 5W 30.

Can anyone recommend me a specific brand they have used in the past that they believe is good?

Many thanks

If the car is standard or near standard with normal road use then a good 5w-40 synthetic is ideal. We find most popular are the ester based synthetics from the likes of Fuchs Pro S, Motul Sport, Millers CFS and the Gulf Competition here http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

If it sees track or hard use then consider a 10w-50 http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-659-10w-50.aspx

Cheers
