hi, an old friend of mine has had a impreza but as he is quite old it has been sitting about for about 11 months as he couldnt afford to get it repaired, now he can i told him he might wanna disconnect crank sensor and turn it over a few times to get the oil about, is this right and is there anything else he should do before starting it up for the first time in a while,thanks for any advice.

Oil and filter change before hand as well, and fresh fuel I would've thought.

Might be worth checking operation of the brakes in case of seizing
